TSM Reporting Error -- Server Information

Operational Reporting reports fail with errors, either ANS1051E Invalid password, or empty report with:
Error -- Server Information

Results

Cause:
The administrator password used in the Operational Reporting configuration is out of sync with the password stored on the TSM Server.

Resolving the problem:
To fix problems running Operational Reporting reports, try the following in order. If the first doesn't fix the problem, try the second, etc.

1. Check the TSM Server activity log for specific errors, for example:
Q ACTLOG BEGIND=-1 ENDD=TODAY OR=ALL SEARCH=password

ANR0418W Session 3854 for administrator ADMIN (WinNT) is refused because an incorrect password was submitted

2. On the TSM Server, reset the password for the administrator:

update admin

3. From Operational Reporting, update the administrator password:
      - Start up the Management Console: Start -> Programs -> Tivoli Storage Manager > Management Console
      - Right-click on Tivoli Storage Manager
      - Select Organize TSM Servers
      - Select your TSM server
      - Hit the Edit button
      - Hit the Account button
      - Update the password

4. From Windows: Stop and restart the TSMReptSvc service

5. If needed, reboot Windows (in my case restart resolved it)

Test the report by right-clicking on it, and select Refresh Using Current Time

For example, find Daily Report in Operational Reporting under Tivoli Storage Manager -> -> -> Reports -> Operational Reports -> Daily Report
